Richard Ashcroft vender tilbage med udgivelsen den 19. oktober af sit femte solo-studiealbum 'Natural Rebel'. Albummet udgives på hans eget RPA-label og bliver hans første udgivet via BMG. Med ti nye sange, som alle er skrevet af Ashcroft, blev 'Natural Rebel' produceret af singer-songwriteren sammen med Jon Kelly (Paul McCartney, Kate Bush) og Emre Ramazanoglu (Bobby Gillespie). Størstedelen af dets indspilning fandt sted i State of the Ark Studios i Richmond, med yderligere sessioner i The Bunker, Tileyard Studios og Hoxa HQ.
