Den musikalske side af The Anthology Collection, oprindeligt kurateret af George Martin, nu remasteret af Giles Martin, i form af tre dobbeltalbum med sjældent materiale, en skyggehistorie i forhold til den, der fortælles i dokumentarerne. De giver et fængslende indblik i den tidlige udvikling af sange, der blev til de indspillede mesterværker, der giver lige så stor genklang i dag, som de gjorde, da de først blev indspillet.

Den har også et vigtigt nyt element. Anthology 4, som er nyudviklet af Giles, indeholder 13 tidligere uudgivne demoer og sessionindspilninger samt andre sjældne indspilninger. Den indeholder også nye mix af The Beatles' Anthology-associerede hitsingler: den GRAMMY-vindende "Free As A Bird" og "Real Love", som har fået nyt liv af deres oprindelige producer, Jeff Lynne, ved hjælp af de-mixede John Lennon-vokaler. Begge nye mix er placeret sammen med bandets seneste britiske nr. 1-hitsingle, den GRAMMY-vindende "Now And Then" fra 2023, den sidste Beatles-sang. Alle tre singler blev skabt ud fra rudimentære hjemmedemoer, som John indspillede i 1970'erne, senere suppleret med vokal- og instrumentale dele indspillet af Paul, George og Ringo.

På tværs af alle Anthology-albummerne er der 191 numre, som udgives den 21. november af Apple Corps Ltd./Capitol/UMG til digitalt køb og streaming, og i deluxe 12LP 180-gram vinyl og 8CD-bokssæt. Begge bokssæt indeholder de originale covernoter til Anthology 1, 2 og 3; den nye Anthology 4 indeholder tracknoter skrevet af Kevin Howlett og en introduktion samlet fra 1996-interviews optaget med The Beatles' nære ven og rådgiver Derek Taylor.
