Boxed sæt indeholder bandets første fire klassiske albums plus et 2LP sæt af sjældenheder, inklusive en komplet alternativ version af "In the Court of the Crimson King" blandet og produceret af Steven Wilson og med kunstværker som oprindeligt præsenteret i "The Young Person's Guide to King Crimson" - bandets første, 1975 udsendte kompilation. King Crimson 1969 - 1972 præsenterer bandets første fire albums plus et 2LP sæt af sjældenheder fra samme periode i en deluxe box set-konfiguration. Albummene: "In the Court of the Crimson King", "In The Wake of Poseidon"*, "Lizard" og "Islands" præsenteres i 40-års jubilæumsudgaven mixes som mixet og produceret af Steven Wilson og Robert Fripp i 2009 og 2010. Det er første gang, at disse mix er dukket op på vinyl.
