2012 markerer genkomsten af Portland, OR's The Dandy Warhols med deres ottende studiealbum, This Machine, indspillet i løbet af 2011 i bandets eget episke rockklubhus og underholdnings-megaplex/studie The Odditorium. Efter 2009's The Dandy Warhols Are Sound, blev albummet produceret af The Dandy Warhols, og Jeremy Sherrerand består af elleve sange skrevet af Courtney Taylor-Taylor, Brent DeBoer, Zia McCabe og gæsterne David J (Love and Rockets, Bauhaus) og Miles Zuniga (Fastball). Denne maskine blev blandet i Storbritannien af Tchad Blake, kendt for sit seneste arbejde med The Black Keys.
