EELS' første nye musik siden 2014's The Cautionary Tales of Mark Oliver Everett. Frontmand og sangskriver E (alias Mark Oliver Everett) producerede det meste af albummet selv, mens Mickey Petralia også chippede ind bag pladerne for første gang siden EELS' 1998 LP Electro-Shock Blues. Sammen med dem i studiet var de mangeårige bandmedlemmer, bassist Koool G Murder og guitarist P-Boo, samt The Deconstruction Orchestra og Choir.
