1991's Death Certificate er det andet soloalbum fra rapperen Ice Cube efter hans platin-sælgende 1990-debut AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted og hans afgang fra gangsta rap-supergruppen NWA Mens dens forgænger blev drevet frem af de fyldige beats fra Public Enemy-produktionsteamet The Bomb Squad, vendte Death-lyden tilbage til hans tidligere berømte Certificate-lyd. 70'ernes funk- og soul-samples, men alligevel var hans bidende tekster ikke mindre indignerede eller kontroversielle.
