The Blues Don't Lie er det fantastiske nye album fra Buddy Guy, og er legendens 34. studiealbum, og opfølgeren til 2018's Grammy-vindende album The Blues Is Alive and Well. The Blues Don't Lie er produceret af sangskriveren/trommeslageren Tom Hambridge og byder på gæster, herunder Mavis Staples, Elvis Costello, James Taylor, Jason Isbell og flere. Albummet vil blive udgivet præcis 65 år til den dag, Buddy Guy ankommer til Chicago med et tog fra Baton Rouge, Louisiana i september 1957, med kun tøjet på ryggen og sin guitar. Hans liv ville aldrig blive det samme, og han blev født på ny i blues. The Blues Don't Lie fortæller historien om hans livslange rejse.
