BBC Sessions blev oprindeligt udgivet i 1997 og er blevet certificeret dobbelt platin af RIAA. THE COMPLETE BBC SESSIONS bygger på den samling med en tredje disk, der kan prale af otte uudgivne præstationer, plus 'White Summer', en optagelse, der først dukkede op i 1990 på Led Zeppelin Boxed Set. Derudover indeholder sættet omfattende session-for-session liner-noter skrevet af Dave Lewis. For første gang nogensinde giver den nøjagtige detaljer og noter om alle bandets BBC-sessioner.
Musikalske højdepunkter på denne nye kollektion inkluderer debuten af en for længst tabt radiosession, der har opnået nærmest mytisk status blandt fans. Sessionen blev oprindeligt udsendt i april 1969 og indeholdt tre sange: 'I Can't Quit You Baby', 'You Shook Me' og den eneste indspillede fremførelse af 'Sunshine Woman'.
Også inkluderet er to uudgivne versioner af både 'Communication Breakdown' og 'What Is And What Should Never Be.' Adskilt af to år demonstrerer forestillingerne det unge bands hurtige udvikling over en kort periode.
Som med de tidligere genudgivelser er lyden for nylig blevet remasteret under opsyn fra Jimmy Page og presset på 180 grams vinyl, pakket i en lift-top-boks.
