Legend, John - Muse

NEW VINYL LP ON UIVERSAL 2026

180 GRAM VINYL LP (Pre-order now, out 23-11-26)

The Colored Vinyl edition of the “Muse” LP by John Legend is released on Republic Records and brings together a full-length album produced and co-written entirely by Pharrell Williams. The collaboration is immediately palpable in the sound: orchestral horn arrangements, resonant strings, and a crisp backbeat form the foundation for Legend’s warm, piano-centered vocals, while Pharrell appears as a guest on several tracks and rap duo Clipse delivers a standout contribution.

Musically, “Muse” moves between classic soul references and contemporary rhythmic ideas; the arrangements range from doo-wop‑ and gospel‑inflected moments to touches of Afrobeat and modern hip-hop aesthetics, without ever losing the throughline of strong songwriting. The title track “Muse” opens the album with a narrative persona, “Daylight” was released in advance as a single, and “Bodies On The Floor,” featuring Clipse, creates a dramatic counterpoint.

The sessions were recorded in part at Pharrell’s studio in Paris; the production deliberately emphasizes cinematic arcs of tension and dense instrumental detail. The Indie Exclusive Colored Vinyl edition presents this work in LP format and is aimed at listeners who want to collect the new, Pharrell‑driven side of John Legend.
