Slash, Myles Kennedy og The Conspirators er tilbage i studiet for at skabe opfølgningen på deres 2012-album Apocalyptic Love. Til WORLD ON FIRE trykkede SLASH og hans band Michael "Elvis" Baskette (Alter Bridge, Falling In Reverse, Incubus) for at producere. Blandt de 17 sange er en instrumental – en kraftfuld ny drejning for bandet. WORLD ON FIRE er opfølgningen på 2012's anmelderroste Apocalyptic Love, som debuterede som #4 på Billboard Top 200-hitlisten og tjente SLASH to nr. 1 amerikanske rockradiohits – hans første solo nogensinde – med 'You're A Lie' og 'Standing In The Sun.' SLASH begyndte officielt at optage som soloartist med sit selvbetitlede debutalbum fra 2010, som beskæftigede en anden vokalist på hvert nummer af hans første album, inklusive Ozzy Osbourne, Fergie og Myles Kennedy blandt andre.
