The Beatles' Second Album var det første album af gruppens arbejde, der blev samlet af Capitol Records udelukkende til det amerikanske marked (i modsætning til f.eks. Meet the Beatles!, som var en omkonfigureret og forkortet version af With the Beatles). Som sådan støder det nogle historiske purister, som ikke tænker på det som et rigtigt album.
