L.A. Woman is the sixth and final studio album that The Doors recorded with Jim Morrison as their front man. It was released in April 1971, three months before the death of Morrison, the band's charismatic leading man. As a continuation of their previous album Morrison Hotel, the band explores the blues style more thoroughly in this album. The album was a major commercial and critical success for the band and spawned two top 20 hits in "Love Her Madly" and "Riders on the Storm". In 2003, Rolling Stone Magazine ranked the album #362 in its list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Doors
