Lynott, Phil - Fatalistic Attitude

NEW VINYL LP ON UNIVERSAL MUSIC 2026

180 GRAM VINYL LP (Pre-order now, out 30-10-2026)

Limited edition

The “Fatalistic Attitude” Limited Edition LP by Phil Lynott is being released on Mercury and presents a historically significant version of his solo work. The release presents the material as a single LP in the form in which it was originally conceived and comes with the support of the artist’s estate.

Recorded as his second solo album, the record documents a series of pieces that showcase Lynott’s songwriting between introspection and direct narrative power. The title track “Fatalistic Attitude” serves as the central piece of the set, alongside early versions such as “Somebody Else’s Dream” and the version of “Ode To Liberty (The Protest Song)” included here in its corresponding form. The previously unreleased and long-awaited material has been newly presented in a clear sequence, giving the LP a concrete view into Lynott’s conceptual intentions for these recordings. The concise, focused sequence forgoes expansive bonus material and instead puts the songs and their arrangements front and center. For listeners looking to complete Phil Lynott’s solo catalog, this Limited Edition represents a substantive addition to the overall picture of his body of work.
