The Riverside LP Peace Pieces combined material from Bill Evans' early LPs for the label. By the time “Know What I Mean” and “Waltz for Debby” were recorded (during January-March 1961), both Julian “Cannonball” Adderley and Bill Evans had left the highly successful Miles Davis Sextet.
