There's text throughout, but it mainly serves to caption the large photographs (mostly color, some B&W), arranged roughly chronologically to tell the story of Springsteen's career in images. There are indeed some rarely seen photos here, most from agencies, and it all adds up to a visual feast of Bruce onstage and off, from the bearded days through his Kennedy Center Honor. 224 pages with appendices.
