The album consists of six pieces, numbered simply Oxygene Part I-VI.  "Oxygene IV," the most well-known theme, went viral around the world upon its release, becoming so famous that many programs began using it as a jingle or a theme. The track helped make Jean Michel Jarre an international star and Oygene went on to sell in excess of 12 million copies.
