Towards the end of 2008 I was approached by writer and director, Nikolaj Steen. He asked if I would like to create the score for a Danish film he was making called “Oldboys”.
It opened in Danish cinemas on December 25th 2009, starring Robert Hansen and Kristian Halken.
I spent the first three months of the year in L.A. and New York working on the score. It was quite a task leading me to explore some musical territory I hadn’t visited before. One of the biggest challenges was arranging strings for a funeral scene.
