The Lovin’ Spoonful’s sophomore LP Daydream was released in the spring of 1966. By April, the single "Daydream" smashed at Number Two. Also featuring the earlier Top 10 hit "You Didn’t Have To Be So Nice" and signature songs "Jug Band Music" and "Didn’t Want To Have To Do It," Daydream was The Spoonful’s highest charting original album.
