The Only Ones made power-pop history with their hit "Another Girl, Another Planet" from their 1978 debut album. A couple of years later, their third and final album, BABY'S GOT A GUN, found them refining their sound a bit. The overall sound isn't quite as raw and punky as that of the band's early recordings (perhaps partly due to the presence of Duran Duran producer Colin Thurston), but frontman Peter Perrett's trademark Tom Verlaine-meets-Johnny Thunders vocal style and pop-savvy song structures are still in evidence.
