Pavement fans are about to have the option to own even more of the somewhat short-lived band’s material. Pavement – The Secret History Vol. 1, and will be chock full of the band’s b-sides, unreleased session tracks, Peel sessions, and material from a 1992 live show. All of the songs on the record are from the group’s Slanted And Enchanted era, meaning fans of that record–one of the band’s best—will find much to discover. Additionally, 25 of the 30 tracks on the double LP have never been released on vinyl before (though they’re on the Slanted & Enchanted: Luxe & Reduxe CD) and the record’s liner notes include essays from both Stephen Malkmus and Spiral Stairs, as well as notes from the group’s label, management, and pals.
