Pop, Iggy - Instinct

Originally issued on A&M Records in 1988, Instinct is Iggy Pop's return to hard rock following his 1986 commercial comeback album Blah Blah Blah with David Bowie. Produced by Bill Laswell (Motörhead, Public Image Ltd.) and featuring the Sex Pistols' Steve Jones on guitar, the 10-song set is comprised of six Iggy originals and four he additionally co-wrote with Jones.  Rolling Stone's David Fricke reveals the album's highlights: "Easy Rider" rolls over you like a runaway train on a downhill track; "Cold Metal" is five-star teen angst; and "Squarehead" is classic Iggy fuck-you music."
