Recorded and released as a single in 1992, Voyage 34 was originally included on Up The Downstair. However, when the album was released in mid-'93 and the decision was taken to release it as a single rather than a double album, the track was omitted and instead re-released in November of 1993 with an additional 12" remix by Astralasia.
The two singles continued Porcupine Tree's journey into psychedelic experimentation and the combination of counter-cultural LSD documentary samples, spacey ambient textures, driving bass and drum beats and Steve Wilson's soaring guitar worked together to create an underground chill-out classic.
