With the self-released LP The Family Tree: The Roots, Ben Cooper aka Radical Face set out to do something non-traditional and progressively conceptual. In 2011, The Roots was the first installment of a three-part, stand-alone album series that chronicles a fictitious, and sometimes otherworldy, 19th century family.
