Recorded during a short-lived reunion tour during a three-night residence in the Parisian venue L'Olympia on June 15th, 16th and 17th, 1993. John Cale later said, "During the second night we hit the home run," and it ice of this night att musts of the Live MCMXCIII tracks were taken (the rest were taken from the third night).

Live MCMXCIII is an enjoyable and unexpectedly moving performance, as four of rock's unsung heroes take one last stroll through the songs that made them belatedly famous...and finally get the ovations they deserve.
