 22 Dreams might be Paul Weller's ninth solo album but it feels as fresh and driven as something he could have released 25 years ago. By updating the style with which he's so closely associated via the entirely new territory of free jazz, classical music, and electronica, he has created his most mature and experimental album to date. This exquisite gatefold vinyl edition features insightful extras with outtakes, sample tracks, alternative versions and new collaborations.  The album is enriched by a new band line-up with a list of guest collaborators, including Little Barrie, Aziz Ibrahim, Noel Gallagher, Graham Coxon and old Jam member Steve Brookes. Although it boasts three producers (Simon Dine, Steve Cradock, Charles Rees alongside Weller), it has a captivatingly haphazard and chaotic feel.
