This small group swing album goes back to a live session recorded on a home tape recorder in 1936. Pres CD music Almost no information is known about this session except that, in addition to a 27 year-old Lester Young, it features Count Basie on piano and other members of the Basie Band.  While the recording quality here is poor, the performances themselves are stellar, more than making up for the primitive sound. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lester_Young
